Step One

Car at shop (work) cutting in door jams, exploring body flaws.  Getting pisses that i have to prime surface before final paint,  a 73 porsche factory paint is some wierd German laqur enamel.  I used Acrilic Urithane. the two paints react without primer inbetween.

Step Two

Car being partialy stripped down, in process of finishing in 120 grit, completing major body repair, disasembaling car.

Step Three

Completeing minor body defects (pinholes, rockchips) finishing in 400 - 600 grit paper. Cutting in and carpeting under side of hood and trunk.  booth spray,  starting with PPG's NCS1990 sealer tinted with DMD 654 (making it pink)   DMD500 with DRR1185 reducer  is used ontop of sealer to prevent over hardening (so i have time to mask stripes)  DMD 663 with DRR1160 reducer is used for white on stripes,  Baked for 30 min.  masked up "European Stripes 2" 10" 2"  Sprayed "Porsche Guards Red 17690) for base red.   Omni Clear with Slow Hardener is used for Clear.  baked for 80 min at 150 deg. F.  Dirt was then Snded with 1500 Wet Sand, and Buffed with #M Perfect it III Compound.

Step Four

Complete reassembly, minor details touched up, Few parts replaced, (this step has not been completed yet, so.  ya know.  This is also the gallery of pics that I put on Ebay when I sold it.  The car sold for $4000!  And incase you didn't' notice, this is not my house...
